Khi hiệp ước Ba Lê được ký kết . Chiến tranh ở Việt Nam vừa chấm dứt. Nhân dân ở các nơi sơ tán trở về Thủ đô. Lúc đó, kinh tế toàn xã hội còn khó khăn, nhà cửa chật hẹp,mọi sinh hoạt gia đình của dân phố thị ban ngày thường diễn ra ngoài vỉa hè khắp các phố, ban đêm mới vào nhà để ngủ, nhà nhà đều có gác xép gỗ mới đủ chỗ ngủ cho thành viên gia đình. Thường gia đình nào cũng chung sống gồm ba thế hệ. Một thời để nhớ cho những ai đã qua

When the Paris treaty was signed, the war in Vietnam just ended. People in the evacuated places returned to the capital. At that time , the whole society’s economy was still difficult. Houses were cramped. They were simple shelters where three generations lived together. During the day, most of family’s activities take place on the sidewalks all over the street. It was only at night that these people could go to sleep in their tiny shelter – which was also called Home. Some family members had to sleep in the garret- where they placed wood.

A time to remember for those who have passed.
